Schwellbrunn (RWH) Former Bobsleigh pilot Beat Hefti from Switzerland and push athlete Alex Baumann now received the 2-man Bobsleigh gold from the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi (RUS), as the now 41-years-old announced at the team’s Facebook page.

In 2014, Hefti/Baumann finished the Olympic race with the silver medal - behind the Russians Alexander Zubkov/Alexey Voevoda, who were later disqualified for doping.

The Olympic Champions Beat Hefti / Alex Baumann got their gold now officially at a ceremony in Hefti's hometown Schwellbrunn. The medals were presented by Jürg Stahl, President of the National Olympic Committee Swiss Olympic. ©RWH2019
