Lake Placid (RWH) US Bobsleigh pilot Elana Meyers Taylor, 2018 Olympic silver medallist, is expecting her first child in March 2020 and is on maternity leave this winter. “I remain committed to standing on top of the podium for the 2021 World Championships in Lake Placid and the 2022 Winter Olympics”, the 34-years-old announced on Facebook. “I will continue to help the team this season in any way possible, while Nic and I excitedly await the arrival of the fastest member of team Meyers Taylor yet.”

Elana Meyers Taylor won Olympic bronze in 2010 pushing pilot Erin Pac. As a pilot herself, she won two Olympic silver medals (2014 and 2018), two World Championships titles (2015 and 2017) and the 2015 overall ranking in BMW IBSF World Cup. Husband Nic Taylor is push athlete in the US Bobsleigh team. ©RWH2019
