Calgary (RWH) Bobsleigh pilot Chris Spring from Canada, who finished fourth at the 2019 BMW IBSF World Championships in 4-man Bobsleigh, announced to step away from competition this winter.

„This isn’t a retirement post“, the 35-years-old wrote on Instagram. „There are a few reasons why I’m choosing not to compete, but ultimately my body hasn’t been healthy for years and I need a break from competition.“

The three-times Olympian, who finished fifth in 2-man Bobsleigh in Vancouver 2010, also announced his comeback plans for the 2020/2021 winter season. ©RWH2019
