Junior World Champion Richard Oelsner with Issam Ammour on his home track in Altenberg surprisingly won the title in the 2-man Bobsleigh ahead of Christoph Hafer/Christian Hammers. European Championships silver medallist Johannes Lochner came in third with Christian Rasp.

In the 4-man Bobsleigh, the team of Christoph Hafer secured the national title just ahead of Bobsleigh team Richard Oelsner. Johannes Lochner, 2019 European Champion and 2017 World Champion, came in third.

The German Bobsleigh Championships were part of the selection races for the BMW IBSF World Cup 2019/2020. The Olympic and World Champions Mariama Jamanka and Francesco Friedrich are already set for the World Cup team.
