Lake Placid (RWH) The federation USA Bobsled & Skeleton named the National Team for the 2019/2020 BMW IBSF World Cup season.
For 2-woman Bobsleigh, Brittany Reinbolt earned her spot at the helm of USA 1 with her National Championship win in March 2019. Kaillie Humphries, 2010 and 2014 Olympic Champion competing for Canada, won the US trials at the IBSF North American Cup in Lake Placid and will start the season as USA 2. Kristi Koplin will have her pilot debut in BMW IBSF World Cup as USA 3. The three push athletes named to the women's team are Olympic silver medallist Lauren Gibbs, Sylvia Hoffman and Jazmine Jones.
The men's team consists of twelve athletes. The pilots are Codie Bascue, who also earned his spot from his USA Bobsled National Championship win, as USA 1. Hunter Church finished trials as the top ranked pilot to earn USA 2. Geoff Gadbois will drive USA 3. Adrian Adams, Chris Avery, Michael Fogt, Kris Horn, Dakota Lynch, Blaine McConnell, Jimmy Reed, Kyle Wilcox and Josh Williamson are named as push athletes. ©RWH2019
