European Champion Lochner in second, first podium finish for Hunter Church in third

Innsbruck (RWH) The Olympic and World Champion Francesco Friedrich (GER) has celebrated his tenth World Cup victory in the 4-man bobsleigh in Innsbruck (AUT). Racing with Candy Bauer, Martin Grothkopp and Alexander Schueller, Friedrich ended the two runs with a 0.33-second lead over his team-mate Johannes Lochner (GER). The European Champion Lochner raced with his crew of Florian Bauer, Christopher Weber and Christian Rasp in Innsbruck.

Winning a surprise third place was Hunter Church of the USA, who celebrated his first podium finish in the BMW IBSF World Cup with Joshua Williamson, James Reed and Kristopher Horn.

Francesco Friedrich (GER, 1277) continues to lead the overall standings for the 2019/2020 BMW IBSF World Cup ahead of Johannes Lochner (GER, 1239) and Justin Kripps (CAN, 1178), who finished fifth in Innsbruck.
