Stuttgart (RWH) Bobsleigh pilot Johannes Lochner, 4-man bobsleigh World Champion in 2017 and four times European Champion (2017 - 2020), will strengthen his push athletes team for the upcoming winter 2020/2021 with Eric Franke and Benedikt Hertel.

2018 in PyeongChang, Eric Franke won Olympic silver in the 4-man bob with pilot Nico Walther. At the BMW IBSF World Championships 2017 and 2020, the 30-year-old won the bronze medals in the Walther team. Nico Walther had announced his retirement after the 2020 World Championships in Altenberg.

Benedikt Hertel already has some successes to show in the junior sector. In 2017 the now 22-year-old was Junior World Champion in the 4-man bob with pilot Bennet Buchmüller. He won U23 World Championships gold in 2018 in 4-man bob with Richard Oelsner and in 2019 in 2-man bob with Jonas Jannusch. The only race in the BMW IBSF World Cup for Benedikt Hertel so far was with Johannes Lochner: In January 2020, the 4-man bobsleigh team finished second. ©RWH2020
