Lake Placid (RWH) Bobsleigh push athlete Carlo Valdes (USA) plans his comeback after two seasons break from competition. „Time to get back to work. Starting up my training again for Bobsled and on a war path for the 2022 Winter Games in Beijing“, the 30-years-old announced on Instagram.

From 2014 to 2018, Carlo Valdes competed in 50 BMW IBSF World Cup races with different pilots. 31 times he finished in the Top Ten, including eight podium placings. In January 2016 in Lake Placid he won the 2-man Bobsleigh race with Steven Holcomb – it was the only victory so far for Carlo Valdes and the penultimate for Steven Holcomb, who unexpectedly passed away in May 2017. ©RWH2020
