Olympic Champion Jamanka and World Championship runner-up Kalicki tie for second

Sigulda (RWH) Laura Nolte (GER) has won the second 2-woman Bobsleigh race of the BMW IBSF World Cup 2020/2021. In Sigulda (LAT) the 22-year-old set the fastest time in both runs with push athlete Leonie Fiebig. This means that the 2016 Olympic Youth Champion now has two victories and three more podium places in her seven World Cup starts - all in 2020. For push athlete Leonie Fiebig, the World Cup victory is a first.

Bobsleigh Olympic Champion Mariama Jamanka with Vanessa Mark and World Championships runner-up Kim Kalicki with Ann-Christin Strack tied for second place in Sigulda. The two German duos were 0.24 seconds behind their team-mates Nolte/Fiebig.

The Austrians Katrin Beierl/Jennifer Onasanya, who finished second at the World Cup opener in Sigulda to celebrate their first World Cup podium, missed out on a medal this time. After third place in the first run, the European Championships bronze medalists of 2019 fell back to fourth place.
