Vyacheslav Popov wins U23 title

St. Moritz (RWH) Michael Vogt/Silvio Weber/Sandro Michel/Andreas Haas (SUI) are the 2021 Junior World Champions in 4-man bobsleigh.

At the Olympic Bobrun St. Moritz-Celerina (SUI), the team of pilot Vogt set best times in both race runs and in the end won the title for the first time with a lead of 0.86 seconds. This also gives the team a personal right to start at the 2021 BMW IBSF World Championships in Altenberg (GER) at the beginning of February.

Silver at the IBSF Junior World Championships went to Jonas Jannusch (GER) with Henrik Bosse, Max Neumann and Bastian Heber. Junior European Champion Jannusch relegated his team mates Maximilian Illmann with Hannes Schenk, Felix Dahms and Eric Strauss (GER) to the bronze rank in the second race run in St. Moritz.

In the U23 classification of the Junior World Championships, the title went to the youngest team at the start: Vyacheslav Popov/Dmitrii Abramov/Andreiy Andriyanov/Egor Gryaznov (RUS) are the 2021 U23 World Champions. ©RWH2021
