Jonas Frei second in race two ahead of defending World Cup champion Lonnie Bissonnette 

St. Moritz (RWH) Para bobsleigh pilot Christopher Stewart (SUI), the 2019 European Champion, celebrated his fourth victory in the race series at the second race of the 2020/2021 IBSF Para-Sport World Cup. At the Olympic Bobrun St. Moritz-Celerina (SUI), the local hero from the Swiss team relegated his compatriot Jonas Frei (0.19 seconds back) to second place. Frei had celebrated his first podium finish the previous day at the World Cup opener in third place. Behind the two Swiss athletes, defending World Cup champion and winner of the opening event Lonnie Bissonnette from Canada (0.69 seconds back) finished third this time.

Živa Lavrinc from Slovenia celebrated her best result in the Para-Sport World Cup so far in St. Moritz in seventh place.

In the overall ranking of the IBSF Para-Sport World Cup 2020/2021 Christopher Stewart (SUI, 435 points) took the lead with his victory. Lonnie Bissonnette (CAN, 425) is second ahead of Jonas Frei (SUI, 410).

In the IBSF Para-Sport World Cup, five races are scheduled for the winter 2020/2021. The athletes will continue on Tuesday, 23 February (7.30 a.m.) with World Cup number three, also in St. Moritz, before the IBSF Para-Sport World Championships 2021 (25 and 26 February) are also on the programme at the Olympic Bobrun. For the fourth and fifth World Cup races (6 and 7 March), it is then off to La Plagne in France. The season finale on 7 March will also count as the European Championships. ©RWH2021
