Bath (RWH) Bobsleigh push athlete Mica Moore has re-joined the British Bobsleigh team in the build up to February’s Olympic Winter Games in Beijing, as the British Bobsleigh & Skeleton Association (BBSA) reports.
At the last Olympics in South Korea, three years ago, Moore recorded the country’s best ever finish in the 2-woman bobsleigh alongside pilot Mica McNeill.
The pair placed eighth in PyeongChang but Moore then stepped away from the sport to begin an MSc in Sport Broadcasting and Media at Cardiff Met University. Now the 28-year-old has her sights set on making the Beijing 2022 Olympic team. Moore won the IBSF Junior World Championships with McNeill in 2017 and has a highest World Cup finish of fifth in Whistler the same season.
„Mica and I might not have pushed together for the last three years but, when we met up the other week, we practiced a lot of starts and it was still all there! The timing is still there; the connection is still there; the relationship is still there! We did really well at the last Olympics and it would be really cool to push on now“, said Mica Moore.
