Colorado Springs (RWH) Bobsleigh pilot Elana Meyers Taylor (USA), four-time Olympian and five-time medallist, has been elected by the USOPC Athletes’ Advisory Council (AAC) to serve as an athlete representative to the USOPC Board of Directors. As the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee announced this in a press release, the 2015 and 2017 World Champion in 2-woman bobsleigh takes over the seat of fellow bobsleigh athlete and 2010 Olympic Champion Steve Mesler.
“It’s an incredible honor to be elected to the USOPC board of directors by the AAC to represent the athletes of Team USA,” said Meyers Taylor. “The board of directors is a highly accomplished group of individuals, and I am excited to work with them to serve all stakeholders.“
Additionally to her athlete career with Olympic silver in the Women’s Monobob debut and btronze in 2-woman bobsleigh in Beijing 2022 as the most recent accomplishments, Elana Meyers Taylor served, amonst others, as the Women’s Sport Foundation president and an athlete director on the USA Bobsled and Skeleton Board of Directors.
