First IBSF Development Camp 2022/2023 in Lillehammer

23 athletes from ten nations complete over 300 training runs

Lillehammer (RWH) 23 young athletes completed a training camp at the Lillehammer Olympic Sliding Centre in Norway at the beginning of November. As part of the development programme of the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation IBSF, the young bobsleigh athletes completed over 300 training runs in the disciplines of 2-man bobsleigh and monobob, as well as various workshops on theory and material. IBSF Development Coordinator Manfred Maier was responsible for the organization of the camp. 

Among the athletes from BEL, DEN, GBR, ITA, LAT, NED, NOR, POL, ROU, SVK were also three who are preparing for the 2024 Winter Youth Olympic Games Gangwon/KOR - the youngest of them 15-year-old Maja Voigt from Denmark.

IBSF Vice President International Affairs Stefaan Freeling from Belgium, Europe Cup Coordinator Peter Hell and Christoph Langen, IBSF Bobsleigh Delegate for Material, Technology & Innovation also attended the final meeting of the Development Training Camp in Lillehammer. ©RWH2022
