Kim Kalicki second at BMW IBSF World Cup, Nolte and Humphries tied for third

Altenberg (RWH) First World Cup victory as a pilot: Lisa Buckwitz (GER) won the BMW IBSF World Cup in Altenberg in the 2-woman bobsleigh - the first victory in the race series for the 2018 Olympic champion since her switch from the push athlete position to the pilot seat.

With push athlete Kira Lipperheide, Lisa Buckwitz was 0.12 seconds ahead of teammate Kim Kalicki (GER) with Leonie Fiebig after the two race runs.

Third place in Altenberg went to the tied teams of Kaillie Humphries/Jasmine Jones (USA) and Laura Nolte/Lena Neunecker (GER), both 0.38 seconds back.

In the overall ranking for the BMW IBSF World Cup 2022/2023, Kim Kalicki (GER, 1060 points) defended her lead over Laura Nolte (GER, 1037) with her fifth podium finish in the fifth race. Kaillie Humphries (USA, 1017) is third.
