Nico Semmler wins title in 4-man bobsleigh with his team
Winterberg (RWH) Bob pilot Maureen Zimmer and push athlete Lauryn Siebert are the 2023 Junior World Champions in 2-woman bobsleigh. In Winterberg (GER) the duo with the title also secured the personal starting place at the BMW IBSF World Championships 2023 in St. Moritz (SUI, 23.1. - 5.2.). 0.85 seconds behind the winners, Lena Boehmer/Leonie Kluwig (GER) took silver ahead of their teammates Charlotte Candrix/Cythia Kwofie (0.92 seconds back) with bronze.
Candrix/Kwofie secured the title in the U23 classification of the Junior World Championships. Georgeta Popescu/Antonia Sarbu from Romania took silver, the Belgians Kelly van Petegem/Dora De Haseleer won bronze.
In the 4-man bobsleigh, Nico Semmler/Marvin Paul/Oliver Peschk/Rupert Schenk (GER) won Junior World Championship gold and the starting spot at the BMW IBSF World Championships. The silver medal went to Adam Ammour/Nick Stadelmann/Benedikt Hertel/Christoph Peth (GER, 0.15 seconds back), bronze to Maximilian Illmann/Henrik Proske/Felix Dahms/Tim Becker (GER, 0.31 seconds back). U23 World Champions in Winterberg were Laurin Zern/Jörn Wenzel/Tim Kesseler/Marvin Orthmann (GER) ahead of Austria's Markus Kaiser/Dominik Hanschitz/Daiyehan Nichols-Bardi/Lukas Zech.©RWH2023
