Breeana Walker with second place for Australia, Canadian Cynthia Appiah finishes third

Innsbruck (RWH) With track record to first Monobob World Cup victory: Bobsleigh pilot Lisa Buckwitz (GER) won the BMW IBSF World Cup in Innsbruck (AUT). In the seventh of the eight races of the season, the World Championship bronze medallist set a new track record in the Olympia Eiskanal: 54.49 seconds from the first race run is the new best in the solo discipline of female bobsleigh athletes.

Second place in Innsbruck went to Australia's Breeana Walker (0.18 seconds back). The World Championships fourth-placed celebrated her best monobob result in the BMW IBSF World Cup.

Third place went to Canada's Cynthia Appiah (0.22 seconds back), who made it to the podium from sixth place with best time in the second run. 

Olympic Champion Kaillie Humphries from the USA finished fourth in Innsbruck, World Champion Laura Nolte (GER) and Ying Qing from China tied for fifth place.

At the start in Innsbruck for the World Cup hosts from Austria was debutant Lea Haslwanter. The 23-year-old finished 15th on her home track.

In the overall ranking of the BMW IBSF World Cup 2022/2023 Kaillie Humphries (USA, 1487 points) defended her lead before the final in Sigulda (LAT, February 18). Laura Nolte (GER, 1414) is second overall ahead of Cynthia Appiah (CAN, 1306).
