World Champion Kim Kalicki second ahead of Melanie Hasler
Innsbruck (RWH) Second win of the season, track record and World Cup lead before the final: 2-woman Bobsleigh Olympic Champion Laura Nolte is on course for her first overall victory after the penultimate BMW IBSF World Cup 2022/2023. In Innsbruck (AUT), Laura Nolte and push athlete Neele Schuten set a track record (52.41) in the second run after finishing fourth in the first run and celebrated their second victory of the season.
One hundredth of a second behind them, the World Champions Kim Kalicki/Leonie Fiebig (GER) finished second in Innsbruck. Switzerland's Melanie Hasler/Nadja Pasternack, European silver medallists in 2023, came in third 0.06 seconds behind the winners Nolte/Schuten.
Four-time World Champion Kaillie Humphries (USA), leading with Kaysha Love after the first run in Innsbruck, dropped back to fourth in the final run.
Nikki McSweeney/Risqat Fabunmi-Alade from Great Britain finished 13th in their World Cup debut.
Laura Nolte (GER, 1472 points) took the lead in the overall standings for the BMW IBSF World Cup 2022/2023 with her victory in Innsbruck. World Champion Kim Kalicki (GER, 1462) is second overall ahead of Kaillie Humphries (USA, 1434) before the final in Sigulda (LAT, 19 February).
