Corie Mapp with victory at World Cup final second overall ahead of Jonas Frei

Lillehammer (RWH) Parabob pilot Guillermo Castillo is the 2022/2023 overall winner in the IBSF Para-Sport World Cup. The 43-year-old is the first U.S. athlete to win the overall Parabob standings in the race series.

Guillermo Castillo collected 1220 points in the six World Cup races in the winter 2022/2023, in Lake Placid (USA) and Innsbruck (AUT) he stood on the podium as winner. Second place in the overall World Cup standings was secured by the overall winner of 2018, Corie Mapp from Great Britain (1149 points). The European Champion of 2019 celebrated his first victory of the season at the final in Lillehammer (NOR). Third place in the IBSF Para-Sport World Cup went to the 2021 and 2022 World Champion Jonas Frei from Switzerland (1132 points).

World champion Hermann Ellmauer of Austria had skipped the first two World Cups in Lake Placid. After three podiums from four races, including a victory in the first World Cup in Lillehammer, he finished the World Cup season in seventh place.
