World Champion Kim Kalicki and US pilot Kaillie Humphries second and third

Sigulda (RWH) Olympic Champion Laura Nolte (GER) celebrated her first overall victory at the 2022/2023 BMW IBSF World Cup. At the 2-woman Bobsleigh final of the race series in Sigulda (LAT), Nolte celebrated her third victory of the season with pusher Neele Schuten.

Until the last race run of the season the race for the overall victory was still completely open between Nolte, World Champion Kim Kalicki (GER) and Kaillie Humphries (USA). Before the final, the three bobsleigh pilots were separated by a mere 30 points in the overall standings. Before the second and decisive run in Sigulda, Nolte was leading by 0.09 seconds ahead of the tied teams of Kalicki and Humphries.  

In the end, Nolte/Schuten won in Sigulda ahead of their teammates Kim Kalicki/Anabel Galander (GER, 0.14 seconds back) and two-time Olympic Champion Kaillie Humphries with Kaysha Love (USA, 0.24 seconds back).

The overall ranking for the 2022/2023 BMW IBSF World Cup was won by Laura Nolte with 1697 points ahead of World Champion Kim Kalicki (1672) and four-time World Champion Kaillie Humphries with 1634 points.
