Gdynia (RWH) Sochi in Russia will host the FIBT Bob & Skeleton World Championships 2017 as was decided at the 84th congress of the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation FIBT (Fédération Internationale de Bobsleigh et de Tobogganing) in Gdynia (POL). The host of the 2014 Winter Olympics stood up to the other candidates from Altenberg (GER), Lake Placid (USA) and the Canadian track in Whistler. Sanki Sliding Centre so will see the first FIBT World Championships on a Russian track.
