Ghent (RWH) Whistler in Canada will host the IBSF Bobsleigh & Skeleton World Championships 2019 which was decided at the annual congress of the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation IBSF in Ghent (BEL).

The 2010 Olympic icetrack with 20 to 19 votes stood up to Altenberg (GER). Also St. Moritz in Switzerland applied to host the 2019 World Championships but was eliminated in the first round.

For the Whistler Sliding Center, site of the Olympic icetrack competitions in Vancouver 2010, the IBSF Bobsleigh & Skeleton World Championships is a premiere. The last time the IBSF World Championships took place in Canada was 2005 in Calgary. ©RWH2015
