Anne O’Shea, fourth overall at 2016 BMW IBSF World Cup, entered the final two heats 0.27 seconds behind 2012 World Champion Katie Uhlaender in second but gained the lead by a mere 0.01 seconds in third heat and solidified her title in the finale by 0.22 seconds. Savannah Graybill finished third behind Katie Uhlaender.
2014 Olympic bronze medallist Matthew Antoine dominated the men's race with the four fastest runs of the race to claim his sixth career title ahead of Nathan Crumpton. Two-time Olympian John Daly capped his comeback season with a third place finish.
