Ander Mirambell is a two time Olympian (2010 and 2014), he won the 2016 Overall IBSF North American Cup and finished 14th overall in BMW IBSF World Cup 2016/2017. If the 34-years-old qualifies for PyeongChang 2018, it will be his third Olympic Games.
The other candidates for the IOC Athletes Commission are Astrid Uhrenholdt Jacobsen (NOR - skiing/cross-country), Kikkan Randall (USA, skiing/cross-country), Emma Terho (FIN, ice hockey), Hong Zhang (CHN, skating/speed-skating) and Armin Zöggeler (ITA, luge).
Two seats on the IOC Athletes‘ Commission will become available in 2018: in addition to Chairwoman Angela Ruggiero, Adam Pengilly will be finishing his eight year term in February 2018. Pengilly (GBR) won silver in the 2009 World Championships in Skeleton and is Vice President International Affairs of the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation IBSF since 2014. ©RWH2017
