Lake Placid (RWH) Skeleton athlete John Daly is back in the US team. As the federation USA Bobsled & Skeleton announced after the final selection races in Lake Placid, the 32 years old enters his third Olympic season as USA-1 to lead the men on the World Cup team. John Daly retired after the 2014 Sochi Olympics, where he slipped out of the start groove in the final run while lying in medal position and finished 15th. Last winter, he started his comeback, finishing third overall in IBSF North American Cup.
John Daly will be joined by Greg West, who starts in his first full World Cup season. 2014 Olympic bronze medalist Matthew Antoine completes the men’s skeleton team.
In women’s skeleton Kendall Wesenberg starts the season as the top-ranked women's competitor. She'll be joined on the World Cup tour by three-time Olympian Katie Uhlaender and Savannah Graybill.
