London (RWH) British Skeleton athlete Lizzy Yarnold, 2014 and 2018 Olympic Champion, was honoured as Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE). As the BBC reports, Lizzy Yarnold is on the current Queen's Birthday Honours List.

The 29-year-old became Women's Skeleton Olympic Champion in Pyeongchang, making her the first British athlete with two consecutive Winter Olympic gold medals. She was previously appointed as Member of the British Empire (MBE) after her first Olympic triumph at the Sochi 2014 Games.
