Lake Placid (RWH) Former US skeleton athlete Caleb Smith joines the federation USA Bobsled & Skeleton as Skeleton Technical and Development Lead Coach. As USABS announced in a press release, he will provide support to USA Skeleton Head Coach Tuffield Latour on the BMW IBSF World Cup tour and also provide strategic support on the skeleton development and technology programs.

Caleb Smith competed in the sport of skeleton for the USA from 2001 to 2011. Since retiring, he coached different nations and was also Emerging Nations coach for the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation (IBSF). While coaching Great Britain, his athletes won three Olympic medals in PyeongChang 2018: Lizzy Yarnold and Laura Deas claimed gold and bronze, respectively, in Women's Skeleton, while Dominic Parsons took bronze in the men's field. ©RWH2018
