Lake Placid (RWH) Following the national selection races, two women and three men have been named as US National Skeleton Team for the 2018-2019 BMW IBSF World Cup, kicking-off on December 7-9 in Sigulda, Latvia. That was announced by the federation USA Bobsled & Skeleton (USABS).

The two women representing the USA on the World Cup team are Savannah Graybill and Kendall Wesenberg.

The three men's athletes that will compete on the World Cup circuit are Kyle Brown 2018 IBSF North American Cup winner Austin Florian and Greg West.

Matt Antoine, who won the Olympic Bronze medal at the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi, finished the US selection races as the top ranked men's athlete, but announced his retirement before his final run. Antoine will transition into a coaching career with the US team.

Additionally to the first Olympic medal in skeleton for the U.S. program in 12 years, Antoine earned nine World Cup medals, and competed in seven World Championships. He helped Team USA win the 2012 Lake Placid World Championship gold medal in the team event. ©RWH2018
