Bath (RWH) Skeleton athlete Laura Deas from Great Britain, who won the Olympic bronze medal at the PyeongChang Winter Olympics, will miss the kick-off event to BMW IBSF World Cup 2018/2019 in Sigulda (LAT) this weekend. As the federation British Bobsleigh & Skeleton announced, the 30-years-old suffered a concussion at a crash in training but plans to return for the second World Cup race in Winterberg (GER, 14-16 December).
Laura Deas has started the post-Olympic season in the IBSF Intercontinental Cup in November and celebrated two victories and two second places in four races. ©RWH2018
