Youth Olympic Champion Ashleigh Pittaway with first victory in IBSF race series

Calgary (RWH) Skeleton athletes Kelly Curtis and Andrew Blaser of the USA are the overall winners of IBSF North American Cup 2018/2019.

In Women's Skeleton overall winner Kelly Curtis finished top three in six of the eight races and concluded the race series with her second win of the season at the final in Calgary (CAN). Swede Leslie Stratton, who in Park City (USA) became the first Skeleton athlete of her country to win an IBSF race, finished second overall ahead of US athlete Sara Roderick.

Andrew Blaser (USA) secured the North American Cup overall victory in Men's Skeleton with four victories in eight races. Nicholas Timmings of Australia finished second. In his first season in IBSF North American Cup, 17-year-old Blake Enzie from Canada secured third place in the ranking.

Youth Olympic champion Ashleigh Pittaway (GBR) celebrated her first victory in an IBSF race series. At the Calgary finals, the 18-year-old skeleton athlete topped the podium on her first ever North American Cup start. ©RWH2019
