Altenberg (RWH) The German skeleton athletes Janine Becker and Fabian Küchler are leading the overall standings ahead of the final of the IBSF European Cup 2018/2019.

Janine Becker leads in Women’s Skeleton with 465 points in front of her teammates Hannah Neise (405) and Luisa Hornung (346).

In Men's Skeleton, Fabian Küchler (GER, 470 points) in Altenberg prematurely secured the overall victory of the race series. With 79 points advantage before the last race of the season in Sigulda (LAT, 26 January) none of the competitors can overtake him. For a win in the Skeleton Europe Cup, 75 points are awarded. Youth Olympic Champion Evgeniy Rukosuev from Russia (391 points) is second in the overall standings ahead of Cedric Renner (GER, 294).

The season finale in Sigulda will also be considered Junior European Championships for the respective athletes. © RWH2019
