Bath (RWH) Eric Bernotas stepped down from his role as Lead Ice Coach in Great Britain following the BMW IBSF World Championships 2019 in Whistler (CAN), as British Skeleton had already announced mid-season.
The now 47-year-old was skeleton athlete for the US team, attended the Olympic Winter Games 2002 and 2006. In 2007, he finished second in Overall World Cup and World Championships.
Eric Bernotas joined the British programme in July 2014 and, amongst others, celebrated World Championships Gold for Lizzy Yarnold in 2015 as well as an historic hat-trick of medals at 2018 PyeongChang Olympic Winter Games in South Korea as Lizzy Yarnold became Olympic Champion for the second time and both Laura Deas and Dom Parsons won bronze. ©RWH2019
