London (RWH) Former British Skeleton athlete Lizzy Yarnold, Olympic Champion 2014 and 2018, has received the 2019 Spirit of Sport Award. The 31-years-old, who currently joined the British Bobsleigh & Skeleton Association board, was awarded with the trophy during the British Sports Journalism awards

With the prize, the Sports Journalists Association in Great Britain honours athletes who are role models and inspire others. „The first time I’ve revieved an award for something other than performance, it’s strange but I appreciate it“, 2014 Overall World Cup winner and 2015 World Champion Lizzy Yarnold wrote on Twitter. ©RWH2019
