Winterberg (RWH) Briton Hannah Stevenson and Lukas Nydegger from Germany won the first skeleton races of the IBSF Europe Cup 2019/2020.

In Winterberg (GER), Hannah Stevenson celebrated her first win in her tenth Europe Cup race. The 26-year-old relegated her teammate Amilia Coltman (GBR) to second place. Hanna Staub from Germany finished third in Winterberg. For Coltman and Staub it was the first ever start at an IBSF race.

In the men's skeleton, due to the weather conditions, only the first run was scored. Lukas Nydegger (GER) won ahead of his teammates Felix Seibel and Martin Rosenberger.

A total of 60 skeleton athletes from 19 nations competed in Winterberg.
