IBSF North American Cup: Nicole Silveira unbeaten in Women’s Skeleton, Felix Seibel with two wins in Park City

Park City (RWH) Skeleton athlete Nicole Silveira from Brazil continued her winning strike also in the fourth and fifth IBSF North American Cup 2021/2022. After winning all three races in Whistler (CAN) to kick-off the Olympic winter, the 27 year old was also victorious in both races in Park City (USA). US athletes Sara Roderick and Savannah Graybill shared the podium with Nicole Silveira in the first Park City race. In the second event, Russian Alena Frolova finished second ahead of Canadian Madison Charney. As first athlete of the Sketing Federation of Vietnam, that joined the IBSF in 2021, Khan Nguyen started at an IBSF race series. The 21 year old finished 24th and 18th in Park City.

In Men’s Skeleton North American Cup, 2020 Junior European Champion Felix Seibel (GER) finished his first races in the series with two victories. Daniil Romanov from Russia and Youth Olympic Champion Lukas Nydegger came in second and third, respectively.

The last stop in the IBSF North America Cup 2021/2022 is Lake Placid (USA). The sixth, seventh and eighth race of the season are scheduled for 7, 8 and 9 December. Following the finals on 9 December, the overall winners will be crowned. ©RWH2021
