Innsbruck (RWH) Skeleton athlete Janine Flock of Austria, overall World Cup winner in 2015 and 2021, has undergone surgery after suffering an acute herniated disc. The operation was successful, the 33-year-old announced on her website, but the rehabilitation process will take several weeks. "The primary goal is to heal, but if the doctors give me the green light, I would like to start in the World Cup already in the second half of the season. To be at the World Championships in St. Moritz and to be able to compete for medals is my biggest motivation," said Janine Flock.
