Winterberg/Berchtesgaden (RWH) With Skeleton Olympic Champions Hannah Neise and Christopher Grotheer as well as silver medallist Axel Jungk at the helm, the team of the Bobsleigh and Sledding Federation for Germany (BSD) will enter the BMW IBSF World Cup 2022/2023. In the men's event, Felix Keisinger secured the third starting spot just ahead of Alexander Gassner, according to a press release from the federation. Keisinger, fourth overall in the 2020 World Cup and Junior World Champion in 2019 and 2020, is thus celebrating his comeback to the World Cup after a year and a half. Last winter, the 24-year-old was third in the Intercontinental Cup.
In women's skeleton, four-time World Champion Tina Hermann is entering what is now her eighth World Cup season. Susanne Kreher was nominated for the third starting place for the first time. The Junior World Champion prevailed over PyeongChang 2018 Olympic silver medallist Jacqueline Lölling. Lölling, 2017 World Champion and three-time overall World Cup winner, starts the season in the Intercontinental Cup.
