Seunggi Jung second in Park City, Marcus Wyatt with third place and overall lead
Park City (RWH) Skeleton Olympic Champion Christopher Grotheer (GER) celebrated his first win of the 2022/2023 winter at the second BMW IBSF World Cup of the season. With a new track record in the second race run in Park City (USA, 48.12 seconds), the 2020 and 2021 World Champion relegated Korea's Seunggi Jung (0.17 seconds back) to second place.
Marcus Wyatt (GBR, 0.37 seconds back), opening winner at the BMW IBSF World Cup in Whistler (CAN), finished third in Utah Olympic Park and defended his lead in the overall standings.
Best athlete of World Cup host USA in Utah Olympic Park was Austin Florian, who celebrated his best result so far at his home World Cup with sixth place.
Yan Wengang (CHN), Olympic bronze medallist at the Beijing Winter Games, finished eighth as the best athlete from the 2022 Olympic hosts.
In the overall ranking of the BMW IBSF World Cup 2022/2023 Marcus Wyatt (GBR, 425 points) is leading after two of eight races ahead of Seunggi Jung (KOR, 420) and Christopher Grotheer (GER, 409).
