With best times in both race runs, the Briton, who is also 2023 European Champion, finished 0.36 seconds ahead of second place. Seunggi Jung of Korea, who finished third in the World Championships, celebrated his fourth podium finish in the 2022/2023 season, while Chen Wenhao of China (0.49 seconds behind) took his first podium finish in the BMW IBSF World Cup in third place.

Olympic Champion Christopher Grotheer (GER) missed the World Cup podium in Innsbruck by two hundredths of a second and finished fourth.

Matt Weston (GBR, 1380) reduced the gap to 76 points before the final in Sigulda (LAT, February 17) and is in second place ahead of Olympic silver medallist Axel Jungk (GER, 1322), who finished seventh in Innsbruck.
